Além Is a Wellbeing Companion — Not Medical Care

Além is a companion for the inner experience of serious illness — meaning, presence, and the fear that medicine leaves untended. It is not a medical device, does not provide medical advice, does not diagnose or treat disease, and never replaces your care team. It makes no claim to cure illness or extend life. What We Collect

Além collects only what is necessary to walk with you:

• A random device identifier — generated locally on your device. We never ask for your name, email, phone number, or any personal information.
• Conversation messages — the text you exchange with Além, stored so your conversation can continue across sessions.
• Wellbeing check-ins — the brief reflections you choose to log (how present you feel, how heavy things are, what weighs on you), so you can see your own arc over time.
• Questionnaire responses — if you complete optional, established wellbeing questionnaires, your answers and scores.
• Private notes — brief notes Além keeps about your journey to deepen future conversations.
• Usage count — how many messages you've sent today (for the daily limit).
• Feedback — only if you choose to send it.

Some of what you share — your feelings about illness, fear, and meaning — is deeply personal. We treat it with corresponding care and use it only to be a better companion to you.

What We Do NOT Collect

• No name, email, or phone number
• No medical records, diagnoses, or clinical data from any provider
• No location data
• No contacts or photos from your device
• No advertising identifiers, analytics, or tracking SDKs
• No data is sold to or shared with third parties

How Your Data Is Used

Your data is used solely to provide Além — continuing your conversations, reflecting your wellbeing over time, and remembering your journey. We may study fully de-identified, aggregated patterns to improve the companion; this never identifies you.

Third-Party Services

Your messages are processed by Anthropic's Claude API to generate Além's responses. Anthropic processes your data only to generate responses and does not retain it for training.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on encrypted servers in Europe, kept separate from public-facing systems. We use industry-standard security practices to protect it.

Your Rights & Data Deletion

You can reset your conversation at any time. If you would like all your data permanently deleted, contact us at privacy@consaience.com with your identifier. In Brazil you have rights under the LGPD (access, correction, deletion); in the EU/UK, under the GDPR. We honor these requests.

Children

Além is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available at this URL.
